Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground savory sausage

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits, quartered

6 large eggs

2 cups whole milk, divided

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 dish.

2.Brown sausage in a skillet; drain most fat.

3.Stir flour into sausage, then whisk in 1.5 cups milk to thicken gravy.

4.Layer biscuit pieces in the baking dish.

5.Top with sausage gravy and 1 cup of cheese.

6.Whisk eggs with remaining milk and pour over layers.

7.Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

8.Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden and set.

Notes

Make ahead by refrigerating overnight before baking.

Swap cheddar for pepper jack for a spicy kick.

Ensure biscuits are cut small for even cooking.
