1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple in juice (do not drain)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 large eggs, beaten
5 slices white bread, cubed
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
2. Whisk melted butter and sugar in a large bowl.
3. Stir in beaten eggs and vanilla extract.
4. Add crushed pineapple with its juice and mix well.
5. Fold in bread cubes until thoroughly coated.
6. Pour into prepared dish and spread evenly.
7. Bake for 45–55 minutes until golden brown and set.
8. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Use stale bread for a better texture.
Add shredded coconut for an extra tropical twist.
