Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/2 cup real eggnog

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

Extra sugar for rolling

Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

2. Mix in egg, eggnog, and vanilla.

3. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mixture.

4. Chill dough for 15 minutes.

5. Roll into balls and coat in sugar.

6. Bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes.

7. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

Do not over-bake for a soft texture.

Store in an airtight container for 5 days.

Freeze for up to 3 months.
