1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)
1 large egg
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 large yellow onion, sliced
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1. In a bowl, mix beef, egg, panko, and spices.
2. Shape into 4 oval patties.
3. Sear in a skillet over medium-high for 4 mins per side; remove.
4. Melt butter in the same pan and sauté onions until soft.
5. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
6. Whisk in beef broth and simmer until thickened.
7. Return steaks to the pan and simmer for 5–10 minutes.
8. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice.
