These Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. A healthy, kid-friendly alternative to deep-frying that takes only 30 minutes.
1.5 lbs chicken breast strips
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Olive oil spray
1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
2. Set up dredging bowls with flour/spices, eggs, and panko.
3. Coat chicken in flour, then egg, then panko.
4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
5. Place tenders in a single layer in the basket.
6. Air fry for 5-6 minutes.
7. Flip tenders and spray lightly with oil.
8. Cook 5-6 more minutes until golden and 165°F.
Do not overcrowd the basket for maximum crunch.
Use gluten-free panko if needed.
Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3 minutes.
