The ultimate soft and tender banana muffins loaded with melty chocolate chips. A perfect use for overripe bananas!

Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup mashed ripe bananas

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup melted salted butter

1/4 cup milk

3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line muffin tin.

2. Whisk dry ingredients in a large bowl.

3. Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl.

4. Combine wet and dry mixtures until just blended.

5. Fold in chocolate chips gently.

6. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.

7. Bake 18-22 minutes until golden.

8. Cool on wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best flavor.

Do not overmix the batter.

Store in an airtight container for 3 days.
