2 cups Gluten-Free Bread Flour (with psyllium husk)
1 tsp Instant Yeast
2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 cup Warm Water (100°F)
1 tbsp Neutral Oil
1/4 tsp Salt
Parchment paper squares
1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 10 mins until frothy.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
3. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a sticky dough.
4. Knead for 2 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
5. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 60 minutes.
6. Divide into 8 pieces and shape into smooth balls or ovals.
7. Place on parchment and rest for 15 minutes.
8. Steam in a bamboo basket over boiling water for 12 minutes.
9. Let sit with lid on for 2 minutes before serving.
Ensure water is not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.
Keep the lid closed after steaming to prevent shrinking.
Store in an airtight container and re-steam to reheat.
