An incredibly soft, pillowy, and slightly sweet loaf made with sweetened condensed milk. Perfect for breakfast or snacks.
350g Bread flour
120ml Warm whole milk
80g Sweetened condensed milk
7g Instant yeast
1 Large egg
30g Unsalted butter, softened
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Condensed milk (for glaze)
1 tbsp Melted butter (for glaze)
1. Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp condensed milk; let foam.
2. Add remaining condensed milk, egg, and flour to form dough.
3. Knead while adding salt and softened butter until smooth.
4. Let rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes until doubled.
5. Punch down, divide into 3, and roll into cylinders.
6. Place in a loaf pan and rise again for 45-60 minutes.
7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
8. Brush with butter and condensed milk glaze while hot.
Use room temperature ingredients for a better rise.
Store in an airtight container to maintain fluffiness.
Great for making French toast the next day.
