Mini Caprese Bites bring the classic combination of tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella into neat, bite-size skewers finished with olive oil and balsamic glaze — perfect for Easy Small Bites at any casual or festive gathering.

Ingredients

24 cherry tomatoes, ripe yet firm

24 mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine), drained and patted dry

24 small fresh basil leaves

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

23 tbsp balsamic glaze

Kosher salt and cracked black pepper, to taste

24 toothpicks or 4-inch party picks

Instructions

1. Rinse and dry tomatoes and basil; pat mozzarella dry.

2. Thread one tomato, folded basil leaf, and mozzarella ball per toothpick.

3. Arrange skewers neatly on a platter.

4. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

5. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

Assemble up to 4 hours ahead without oil or glaze.

Finish with olive oil and glaze just before serving.

Keep mozzarella well-dried so glaze adheres cleanly.

Best served chilled or at cool room temperature.
